Probiotics: The Hidden Trick for Losing Weight?

New research is suggesting that some probiotics might be great for losing body fat and helping with weight loss. Probiotics are live bacteria that are good for your health if you eat them.

Studies show people who are overweight usually have different gut bacteria than people who aren’t overweight.

In experiments with animals, scientists found that moving gut bacteria from heavy mice to thin mice caused the thin mice to gain weight. This shows that the type of bacteria in your gut can affect your weight.

Probiotics could help with weight loss by increasing hormones that make you feel full and reducing proteins that help absorb fat. They also lower inflammation that’s linked to being overweight by making your gut healthier.

In human tests, probiotic supplements with certain lactobacillus strains helped reduce body fat in people who are overweight. A special kind called Lactobacillus sakei really helped reduce body fat and waist size within three months.
